These Terms and Conditions govern the membership and participation in the Chennai Civil Engineers and Consultants Association (CHECEA). By becoming a member of CHECEA, you agree to abide by the following rules and regulations:
Interested individuals can apply for membership by contacting CHECEA through email at president.checea@gmail.com or by calling the CHECEA office at 044 4206 5230 to schedule an appointment. Applicants must submit:
Original qualification certificates must be presented at the time of the CHECEA meeting to verify eligibility.
Members gain access to various resources, networking opportunities, and events organized by CHECEA. Members receive a membership card, which can be collected after showing the original qualification certificates during the CHECEA meeting.
Members must adhere to the norms, rules, and regulations of CHECEA. It is the member's responsibility to ensure timely renewal of annual membership by paying the renewal fee. Members must keep their contact information up to date and inform CHECEA of any changes to their personal or professional details.
Members are expected to maintain professional conduct and uphold the integrity of the civil engineering profession. Members must respect the opinions of other members and act in the best interest of CHECEA and its objectives. Any actions that violate CHECEA’s code of conduct, including misconduct, unethical behavior, or any activity that harms the reputation of the association, may result in membership termination without refund.
All membership fees must be paid in full at the time of application or renewal. Payments can be made via bank transfer, cheque, or any other methods specified by CHECEA. Life membership payments are non-refundable as they provide lifetime benefits.
CHECEA reserves the right to terminate membership if:
CHECEA shall not be held responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage incurred by members during any events, activities, or interactions held by or in association with CHECEA. Members participate in CHECEA events at their own risk.
CHECEA reserves the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Members will be notified of any significant changes to the terms and conditions via email or official communication channels.
Members' personal information will be handled in accordance with CHECEA’s privacy policy. CHECEA ensures that members' personal data will not be shared with third parties without consent.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, India.
