Refund Policy

At Chennai Civil Engineers and Consultants Association (CHECEA), we strive to ensure the satisfaction of our members and provide clarity on our payment policies. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which membership fees and other payments are refunded.

1. General Policy

Membership fees and payments made to CHECEA are generally non-refundable except under specific conditions outlined below. By submitting your payment, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds will be considered only under the following circumstances:

  •   Duplicate Payment: If a member accidentally makes a duplicate payment for the same membership fee, a refund for the excess amount will be processed.
  •   Error in Processing: If there is a technical issue or administrative error caused by CHECEA during the payment process, a refund may be issued upon verification.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

The following situations are not eligible for refunds:

  •   Change of Mind: Once payment is made for membership, refunds will not be issued if you change your mind or decide to cancel your membership.
  •   Membership Termination: If a membership is terminated due to non-compliance with CHECEA's terms and conditions, no refund will be granted.
  •   Partial Membership Period: Membership fees are not refundable on a pro-rata basis if a member decides to resign or cancel their membership mid-term.

4. Life Membership Fees

Life Membership payments are non-refundable once processed. As this fee provides lifetime benefits, no refunds or adjustments will be made for any unused portion of the membership.

5. Refund Process

Requesting a Refund: To request a refund under eligible circumstances, you must contact CHECEA within 7 business days of the payment date. All refund requests must be made in writing by emailing us at president.checea@gmail.com with a valid reason for the request and proof of payment.

Verification: Upon receiving a refund request, CHECEA will review and verify the claim. Once the verification process is complete, we will notify you of the approval or denial of your refund.

Refund Timing: Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval. The refunded amount will be credited back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

6. Mode of Refund

Refunds will be issued through the same payment method that was used for the original transaction. In case of bank transfer or cheque payments, refunds may take longer depending on banking procedures.
